“Nature is the one place where miracles not only happen, but they happen all the time”.

Thomas Wolfe

Arnica montana is a beautiful aromatic flower known for its strong properties. This hardy plant can be found only in high altitude - in mountain meadows. It is a popular ingredient of herbal tinctures as well as a topical preparation.

Arnica montana is a perennial flowering plant that belongs to the Asteraceae family. This moderately toxic plant is also referred to as wolf’s bane, mountain arnica, mountain tobacco and leopard’s bane. Arnica grows mainly in mountainous regions of Europe, North America and Siberia. The plant usually grows up to 18-60 cm in height.  The basal leaves are bright green and oval with rounded ends. The upper leaves are smaller. They are oppositely arranged and lanceolate. The flower consists of yellow disc florets in the center and yellow-orangish ray florets in the outward part. There are usually about 10-14 orange-yellow rays. The plant flourishes from June to August.
